Thanks for the help guys. Unfortunately I haven't yet been able to solve the problem.
About the atioglxx.dll file, I cannot find it, even when I look for hidden files.
So I have tried to reinstalled my driver hoping either to solve the problem directly or that the atioglxx.dll file will appear. What happens is that both the ati installerpackage and
the ATI driver pacakge that I download from this site (http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/w ... e=2.4.1&product=22.214.171.124.13&lang=English
) installs hte same ATI device manager. When I try to use it to uninstall previous drivers it cannot find any installed drivers and when I press install, it creates an empty folder ?!?.
I've also tried uninstalling my prevoius driver from the device manager which works fine. It's just that once I restart my computer it automatically reinstalls a driver - even though I've disabled the windows update.
Either way, I've found out that the driver that my windows keeps installing is of the 126.96.36.199 version, and from my fairly noobish research I gather that it is the lastest driver that work for Windows7.
"I am having the same issue, actually thought it would be the driver. The only problem is the legacy display driver 9.11 wont install under W7. Attempted installing various ways ( compatibility mode, run as admin., older diver) all with no luck.
